At the Children & Young People’s Health Partnership (CYPHP), we know that children, young people, and family’s voices are vital in our work improving healthcare services. As part of our ongoing work to ensure that we are providing services that children, young people, and families need and that they find supportive, the CYPHP Health Team asked a sample of families about their experience of receiving CYPHP care.

Feedback from a sample of 55 families is encouragingly positive. 54 said that they either agreed or strongly agreed that they felt happy with the help that they received, that they felt listened to, and that they received enough information. 51 said that they would recommend the CYPHP service to others.

Some of the comments that families added about the CYPHP Health Team included:

"Friendly and targeted advice, all relevant, well explained and listened to all my questions, so helpful. Also amazingly quick at getting in touch after first diagnosis. Wonderful service!"

"She listened and gave me loads of advice and set me a basic plan around how my daughter is. She even called to see if I am coping okay. She has had a change in my daughter’s life in two weeks…"

"Listened to and genuine care and attention was given and full support at any time necessary."

"All information clearly and well explained by the professional. Raising awareness and providing good tips and guidance to empower families. I feel more knowledgeable, confident and well-equipped to deal with emergency situations."

"Better location of services/venue", and "more regular contact" – each highlighted by 7% of our sample. We’re taking this feedback on board, and continue working to improve CYPHP clinics.
