As always, the annual King’s Health Partners conference held on the 5th June included a variety of engaging and inspiring speakers. This year, the conference theme focused on transformation through collaborative working in clinical practice, research, and education during the previous year. Several speakers presented their work, which ranged from discovery science to clinical trials, and healthcare transformation..

Dr Ingrid Wolfe, from the Children & Young People’s Health Partnership (CYPHP) presented on ‘Transforming outcomes for children across communities’. Ingrid described how the CYPHP programme is implementing and evaluating a new model of care for children across Lambeth and Southwark. Our clinical-academic approach to health system strengthening means that our work combines the rigorour of health service research, with the pragmatism of Quality Improvement. CYPHP is building a team ideally positioned for designing, implementing, and evaluating interventions, at scale, for improving child health.

“It was very good to have the opportunity to share with colleagues the exciting work we’re doing in CYPHP, and to hear about all the fascinating work going on around KHP.” Ingrid Wolfe, CYPHP Director
