CYPHP exists to improve the health of children and young people in Lambeth and Southwark by strengthening local child health systems through a structured programme of work. Our rationale and approach is described below:

We are testing our approach by assigning ‘GP clusters’ across our two boroughs to receive either the new CYPHP model of care or an enhanced usual approach to care. This will enable us to conduct a robust evaluation of the evidence we generate:

Our programme is delivered by our clinical service teams, with a dedicated evaluation team leading the research side of our programme and a programme management team supporting delivery and ensuring a smooth transition to ‘business as usual’ when the programme roll out is complete.
