21 02 19 Southwark PLT

What a fantastic turn out on the 21st February 2019 at the child health Protected Learning Time event, hosted by Southwark CCG. The event brought together GPs, practice nurses, and practice staff to hear about the latest local healthcare needs, support, and services for children and young people.

Multi-disciplinary speakers provided valuable practical information and resources on best practice, including top tips to support allergies and medically unexplained symptoms in children and young people. Additionally, Dr. Trisha Radia (CYPHP Patch Paediatrician and Consultant Paediatrician at King’s College Hospital), shared her expertise on diagnosis, assessment, management, and referral pathways for asthma, constipation, and eczema.

Attendees also mingled around the bustling marketplace, with exhibitions from a variety of organisations that support child health across Southwark and beyond. The CYPHP stall provided attendees with a beneficial resource pack, including a guide to CYPHP services and support, upcoming training opportunities, and resources such as the new and improved GP Guidelines.

If you were unable to attend, but would like to receive the CYPHP resource pack, please get in touch with Charlene.
